This Acceptable Use Policy explains how customers may use the 12SSL website, account services, SSL certificate products, AutoSSL services, and support channels. By using 12SSL, you agree to follow this policy, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy.

1. General Use ​

You must be at least 18 years old to use our website or purchase SSL-related services. If you use 12SSL on behalf of a company or organization, you confirm that you are authorized to act for that organization.

You are responsible for the activity that occurs through your account, your credentials, and your use of our services.

2. Permitted Use ​

You may use 12SSL to:

  • Purchase and manage SSL certificates and AutoSSL subscriptions.
  • Submit certificate requests and complete domain or IP validation.
  • Download issued certificates and related files.
  • Access documentation, SSL tools, and product resources.
  • Contact 12SSL support through live chat, email, phone, or support tickets.

3. Prohibited Use ​

You may not use 12SSL, our website, our account system, or our services to:

  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.
  • Misrepresent your identity, business, domain ownership, or IP address control.
  • Attempt to obtain certificates for domains, IP addresses, systems, or organizations you do not control.
  • Distribute malware, phishing content, harmful code, or abusive traffic.
  • Attack, scan, overload, disrupt, or attempt unauthorized access to our systems or user accounts.
  • Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools in a way that extracts data, bypasses controls, or disrupts normal service operation.
  • Submit false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, or harmful content through our website or support channels.
  • Use issued certificates or AutoSSL services to support fraud, abuse, impersonation, phishing, spam, or illegal activity.

4. Account and Security ​

You must provide accurate and current account information. Keep your login credentials secure and do not share them with unauthorized users.

5. Certificate Validation and Product Terms ​

SSL certificate issuance requires successful domain control validation, IP validation, or another applicable validation method. You may only request certificates for domains, IP addresses, or systems that you are authorized to use.

Certificate products may also be subject to certificate authority requirements, subscriber agreements, validation rules, and industry standards.

6. Third-Party Services ​

12SSL may use or link to third-party services, including payment processors, certificate authorities, validation systems, and support tools. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Enforcement ​

If we believe this policy has been violated, we may take action to protect 12SSL, our customers, certificate authorities, and the public. This may include refusing an order, delaying issuance, suspending service, terminating account access, reporting abuse, or taking legal action where appropriate.

We may also investigate suspected violations and cooperate with certificate authorities, payment providers, hosting providers, law enforcement, or other relevant parties when required.
